Baby sleep consultant, San Francisco Bay Area

Real questions I hear

“Is this actually a problem — or is this just how babies are?”
M
MargoSometimes it is normal. That's a real answer too, and I'll give it to you straight.
“Should we sleep train at all?”
M
MargoMaybe not. Or maybe not yet. That's exactly what a consultation is for — deciding, not committing.
“We've read everything and we're more confused than when we started.”
M
MargoThe books argue with each other. Your baby doesn't. We look at what's actually happening in your house.
“What are we doing wrong?”
M
MargoProbably nothing. Most families I talk to are doing fine — something just needs adjusting.

Sleep Consulting

Sleep consulting. Start with understanding.

I'm a certified baby sleep consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I start every conversation the same way: by listening. Sleep changes as children grow; what worked last month may not work now. Whether it's newborn sleep, a regression, or you're still deciding whether to sleep train at all, I'll tell you what I'm seeing and what to expect.

Sleep consultation is for you if…

  • You want an expert opinion before making changes.
  • You're unsure whether sleep training is right for your family.
  • You've tried everything and don't know what to try next.
  • You want a personalized plan you can follow on your own.
  • You simply have questions you'd like answered.

What you'll leave with

  • A clear understanding of your baby's sleep.
  • Answers to your questions.
  • A personalized plan.
  • Practical next steps.
  • Written notes and recommendations.
  • Follow-up support.

"Amazing what happens when someone with experience and know how gives you the tools and information. Margo helped us when we needed it most. Having someone there to cut through the noise and give us practical steps to take was so valuable."

Meet Margo

Margo Yudanova, certified baby sleep consultant, San Francisco Bay Area
San Francisco · since 2011

Who you'll be talking to.

I'm Margo. I've supported San Francisco families since 2011, first through the newborn months and, over the years, through all kinds of sleep challenges. That experience shaped the way I work with sleep today.

A consultation is me doing what I do at the bedside, over video — listening first, then telling you plainly what I'd change.

We go through your baby's sleep, feeding, routines, and what you've already tried. From there, I explain what I think is getting in the way and what I recommend.

Frequently asked questions.

You don't have to figure that out before reaching out. Some families need a sleep consultation to better understand what's happening. Others want hands-on support putting a plan into practice. We'll talk about your baby's sleep, your goals, and what's been happening at home, then decide what kind of support makes the most sense.

We meet on a 60-minute video call, so it doesn't matter which city you're in. We go through your baby's sleep, schedule, feeding, and routines in detail, and I tell you what I'm seeing and what I'd change. Afterward you'll have written notes with my recommendations and next steps, plus 1 week of email follow-up while you put the plan into practice.

There's no perfect time. Some families reach out during the newborn stage because they want to understand what's normal. Others call after weeks or months of broken sleep. If you're feeling confused, exhausted, or simply unsure what to do next, it's a good time to ask. Sometimes a conversation is all it takes to bring clarity.

Yes. Sleep doesn't happen in isolation. During our consultation, we can talk about breastfeeding, bottle feeding, feeding schedules, and how they influence your baby's sleep. My goal is to help you see the whole picture, not just one piece of it.

That's very common. One parent may feel ready to make a change while the other has questions or concerns. We'll talk through the options together, discuss what feels comfortable for your family, and make sure you're both on the same page before moving forward.

My Sleep Consultation is $350 (60-minute video call), and a Focused Sleep Call for one specific question is $175 (30 minutes). In-home overnight sleep training is $2,650 and includes 2 overnight visits; each additional overnight is $1,200, and a 3-hour In-Home Bedtime Support visit is $450. Bedtime Support Call for existing clients: $150 per session. Postpartum night doula: pricing depends on your schedule and support needs.

Yes. Sleep consultations happen on video, so location doesn't limit them at all — I consult with families across Marin, the Peninsula down to Palo Alto and Menlo Park, the East Bay, and anywhere else in the world. In-home overnight sleep training is the part that's tied to the Bay Area, since I come to the house.

When you're ready.

Send a short note — your baby's age, what your nights look like. I read every message myself. No intake form, no scheduler. Just a conversation. Writing at 3 AM? That's okay. I reply within 24 hours — usually the same day.
